ENVELOPED IN SLOW MISERY
Winter's cold;
a reminder of the way a fatherless child is raised
Enveloped in slow misery
And a known feeling of abandonment
adorned that small heart
Poured a child’s tears on the wound of mother
A cry not heard for miles away,
It feeling the eco distant it goes
The purpose lost
The eerie feeling of discontent
And no real human connection
For the breath stops flowing
Like it did inside the womb
Familiar dismissal
Fire burning the umbilical cord and away
No more conjured up emotions
Distant is the world
and hopelessness caresses the Future
Enveloped in slow misery
Torturous and branded awaiting a distant touch
Hope will grow somewhere
The search is on
Developed hope.
